New Students: Apply Now for the 2023-2024 School Year!

The Saturday Gene-iuses program at the University of Hawai‘i, Mānoa is an innovative pre-college enrichment program for students who have a strong interest in science. Our goal is to encourage and increase the presence of historically underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM careers), and licensed professions.

The Saturday Gene-iuses program offers two classes each year for these grade levels. Our first class is designed for 7th-grade students and focuses on collaboration and evidence-based discussions. Our second class is designed for students in the 8th and 9th grades and focuses on inquiry-based experiments, and data collection and analysis.
