Saturday GENE-iuses

Our youngest Saturday GENE-iuses and their adult participant join us for a hands-on lab one Saturday each month to learn about science. Our knowledgeable teachers are experts at getting our students excited about science by covering a wide range of intriguing topics. We would love for you to sign up and join the fun and learning. Adult Participant Required?
Yes. An adult participant will be required to attend with each student. We allow a limited number of adult participants to attend class with two students.
Please note that a chaperone may be required at the discretion of the program director in all grade levels if a student requires extra assistance in the classroom
Fees:
One student and 1 adult participant = $675
Two students from the same household and 1 adult participant = $1,170
Please fill out 1 registration form per student.

Please fill out an online application form if you are a new student to the program.
The priority application period is open until May 30, 2024. After that, applicants will be accepted until all the spots are filled. Applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks of receiving an application.
Registration and Payment
Students accepted to the Saturday Gene-ius Program must fill out an online registration form and submit payment by mailing us a check.

Payments not received within the 72-hour deadline will result in the cancelation of your registration without prior notification.

Location
University of Hawai‘i, Mānoa teaching laboratories.
We will inform you of your classroom location through email prior to the first session.
Parking
Parking is available in the upper campus lots and in front of the St. John Building. There is no charge on Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays.

Dress Code
All students will be required to purchase their own lab coat and bring their lab coat to class to participate in the lab. Students and any chaperones will be required to wear covered shoes.
We do not accept walk-ins or telephone reservations for the Saturday Gene-ius program. We cannot accept cash and will not honor reservations without payment. Also, payment for all Saturday Gene-ius sessions are non-refundable. If you have further questions, please visit our FAQ or email us!
