Grades 4-6 Saturday GENE-iuses

Saturday Gene-iuses in grades 4 – 6 join us for a hands-on lab one Saturday each month to learn about science. Our knowledgeable teachers are experts at getting our students excited about science by covering a wide range of intriguing topics. We would love for you to sign up and join the fun and learning. Adult Participant Required?
We encourage students to attend class independently at this age level. However, a chaperone may be required at the discretion of the program director in all grade levels if a student requires extra assistance in the classroom
Fees:
Grade 4 to 6 student = $495.00

Please fill out an online application form if you are a new student to the program.
The priority application period is open until May 30, 2024. After that, applicants will be accepted until all the spots are filled. Applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks of receiving an application.
Registration and Payment
Students accepted to the Saturday Gene-ius Program must fill out an online registration form and submit payment by mailing us a check.

Payments not received within the 72-hour deadline will result in the cancelation of your registration without prior notification.

Dress Code
All students will be required to purchase their own lab coat and bring their lab coat to class to participate in the lab. Students and any chaperones will be required to wear covered shoes.
Parking
Parking is available in the upper campus lots and in front of the St. John Building. There is no charge on Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays.

We will inform you of your classroom location through email prior to the first session.
Student Check-in and Check-out
Parent required
Parents will be responsible for walking their child(ren) directly to the classroom and signing them in. When picking up, parents must sign their child out. As always, our check-in and check-out procedures are for the safety of the students.
An optional waiver can be signed allowing a student to check themselves in and out of the classroom. This waiver will be provided through email prior to the first class.
We will inform parents of their child’s classroom location through email prior to the first class. There will also be Gene-ius Day staff and signs to provide directions on the first day of class.

We do not accept walk-ins or telephone reservations for the Saturday GENE-ius program. We cannot accept cash and will not honor reservations without payment. Also, payment for all Saturday Gene-ius session is non-refundable. If you have further questions, please visit our FAQ or email us!
